On foot, by train or by bike
On foot: Fjellstova is located on the DNT T-marked trail between Hallingskeid, Kaldavasshytta and Grindaflethytta.
By train: Take the Bergen Railway and Vossebanen in summer and winter: It's a 2-hour train ride from Bergen. The local train between Bergen and Myrdal stops at Upsete Station. It's a 5-6 hour train ride from Oslo to Upsete Station. Express trains between Oslo and Bergen do not stop at Upsete station, but there are train changes to local trains at either Myrdal or Voss.
By bike: If you cycle Rallarvegen from Haugastøl to Myrdal, take the local train through the Gravahalstunnel to get to Upsete station, the train takes 5 minutes. Last departure from Myrdal to Upsete Monday to Sunday at 18:48. You can start at Upsete and cycle to Voss on Rallarvegen to Mjølfjell and then on the road down Raundalen to Voss. Alternatively, you can return to Myrdal by train or hike over the mountain.
Opportunities for cars
By car: It is possible to drive from Voss up Raundalen to where the road ends at Mjølfjell. From there it is a toll road and only allowed to drive to the properties. Guests of Upsete Fjellstove can drive to the Fjellstova property by arrangement. The road is 7 km Rallarvegen with a maximum speed of 20-30 km.
In the winter: Upsete Fjellstove is roadless in winter, but it is possible to get here by train, snowshoes or on skis.
